Last night we carved pumpkins. I’ll post pics later, or maybe Rheanna will put them on her blog. Well, before we started we were cleaning the kitchen so we could make a mess : ) I asked Hyrum to put one of the chairs back as we only keep 4 of them in the kitchen. He picked it up and started moving it, then he yelled out, “O my goodness!” He often overreacts to things that Payton or Alec has done, hoping to get them in trouble. Instead it was a personal problem. This dialogue followed:
Me: “What’s wrong?”
Hyrum: “My eye is tired.”
Me: “Just one eye?”
Hyrum: “Yes,” and then he blinked the one eye over and over. “It got tired at school today.”
He then shrugged as he continued moving the chair and said, “Well, I guess I’ll just be a pirate for Halloween so this eye can stay shut.”
So if you see him with an eye patch, know that he’s just letting his eye rest b/c it’s tired.
