Head Banger

I wish this was a tale of going to a concert and engaging in some serious head banging. Unfortunately, it's about being klutzy and enduring some serious pain! This morning I was getting in the car, and the door would only open so far b/c it was parked next to the van, but I knew I could fit since I had obviously gotten out of the car at some point. Well, I smashed my left ear on the door, so my reflex quickly pulled my head the other direction and SLAMMED my right temple into the top of the car. I fell into the seat with excruciating pain and wondered if I would pass out or what was going to happen. After a few minutes I regained composure and was able to see straight enough to drive. I think I've avoided a brain hemorrhage, but my right temple is continuing to swell to a nice big bump. I'm so glad I'm getting a haircut tonight, so my battle wound will stand out even more : )
