Great Neighborhood!

OK, I know I've mentioned before that we live in a great neighborhood. In fact, I think I've stated that we live on the best street in the world : )(We do love plenty that live on other streets and wish they would just move onto Independence too). We moved here 3 1/2 years ago as the 4th or 5th family on our street. Since that time we've seen numerous streets being developed and homes built. We've been through 3 ward splits in that time, and have met some great people in all of the wards that we've been in. During that time we've been blessed with some awesome friends. It stands to reason that many of them live on our street as we've all been here through all of the different wards. I've realized lately that it's the dynamics of our friendships that make it such a good place to be. Unfortunately, I fear that with 3 1/2 years under our belts, someone is bound to up and move on us. If that dreadful day comes, will the neighborhood be the same? Where else can you live that 90% of your street has kids the same age, mostly same size families, the adults are the same age, we all know the names of all of the kids, we know that someone will always be available to watch kids, borrow sugar, get advice, fix sprinklers, shovel snow, borrow tools, etc? It's just a great place to be. It will be a sad day when good byes are said. As I think about all of this, I hope to never leave. I don't ever plan to, but if you ALL abandon us, we'll just have to pick who we want to follow : ) Thanks for being great neighbors!
