My Fish Story

Today, Bishop Hunt, one of his coworkers and I met for lunch at Rumbi. It was fun. Hopefully we'll do it more in the future. I was there a few minutes before they arrived so I was browsing the menu, not sure why since I pretty much have it memorized. I decided I needed to try something different instead of my usual picks. For a long time, I've been tempted to try one of their dishes with fish in it. I don't know why, because I have never liked fish, I usually stay far from it. Currently, they have a new Voodoo Ono rice bowl that has their volcano blackened mahi-mahi with a mango sauce. I decided since Rumbi was paying for it, I should be adventurous and try it, if it was bad, I'd just eat again back at the office. I explained all of this to Omar, the manager, as he doesn't eat fish either, but I was still nervous about ordering it. Well, to my pleasant surprise, it was really really good. I don't know if mahi-mahi is just good or if it's all in how they fix it, but I think I'll get it again. So moral of the story is that it's good to try new things every so often. I need to do this at other places too instead of getting the same thing each time I'm at Macaroni Grill or Applebee's.

I love Mahi-Mahi...I think that it is a really good fish...but you should probably be adventurous and try some other kinds of fish too...who knows maybe you'll like it now!
