So whatever it was, it was non forgiving and has caused me to go get a new rim today. I didn't think much of this, other than "bummer" until we got to the gym and the lady at the desk pointed out that with a blow out at that speed and in the front of the car we could have wrecked and all died, so obviously the Lord was watching over us. So thanks to whichever wife or family member was praying for our safety. The other blessing is that my car just hit 100,000 miles and this is the first time the spare has been used. It's sad how often we take blessing for granted. I remember several years ago I had some car trouble. I don't remember all that went on, but it should have been something major, but ended up costing very little. My Mom's cousins came to our aid and her husband (a fairly new member of the church) pointed out that it was all blessings from me paying my tithing. It took me back that I'd been a member my whole life and hadn't thought of that before he had. He encouraged me to thank the Lord for blessing me in that way. I am so grateful for the gospel and my understanding of the Lord's protection and blessings to each of us. I hope and pray that I will be quick to recognize the Lord's hand in all that I am blessed with.
***************UPDATE******************
I just have to say that what I was saying before about the blessings of tithing are true. They were able to bend my rim back, so I didn't have to replace it and then because my tires were in such good shape, replaced the tire with a brand new one for just $12.44

Yes Lisa and I do hold a 9 minute record. We could have done this one just as fast but the handle on the jack is a little quirkie. Just happy to still be alive.
We are so thankful no one was hurt and not having a big repair bill is an added blessing for sure.
