Saturday morning, bright at early (well, it's not bright at 5:30, so I guess it was pre-bright) I took Aaron, Steve and MaryAnne up to their team triathlon. Aaron (MaryAnne's husband) came along as my co-spectator. We had a fun time on the drive up and then took the shuttle as we watched Steve bike the 3.5 miles to the registration. We did lots of walking to get to the actual start of the race. Just as the race was starting Ashely and their kids hooked up with us. It was a lot of standing around as a spectator, but it was still fun since there were friends there to talk to. I think they did really good overall.

Aaron did the 1 mile swim, then Steve biked for 25 miles, and MaryAnne finished up with the 5.6 mile run. I got some sun and just watched three friends achieve their goals. Next year I plan to be a participant myself and leave the spectating to someone else. There are a bunch of us doing it, individually, not as a team, but we are just doing the sprint which includes 1/2 mile swim, 12 mile bike and 3 mile run. If anyone wants to join us feel free, the countdown is on for 12 months to train.

BRING IT ON!
Did you hear that they took 3rd in the relay teams?! Pretty good - next year will be a lot of fun, but I have some serious training to do in the pool - I am scared!!!
We should get Todd in on this. He would probably love it, and it would be good motivation.
I'd love to be a spectator in your race next year Justin. Count me in
