About a month ago, we decided to take the plunge and finish the basement. I applied for the building permit and it was approved the next day. That was very nice. Well, I talked to my brother, Ammon, and he willingly said he would come help out. In reality, he is doing it and I'm assisting from time to time. He's only been here a week and has made tons of progress to the point that he's almost done the framing and ready to start the electrical. Hopefully we'll keep up the momentum and finish the entire thing in a timely manner. Thanks Ammon for all your help! Thanks to Aaron, James and Mario for all the advice in planning my layout and letting me borrow tools : ) Last Friday the lumber arrived and since then we've been busy.
First things first, we got half of the food storage room done, so we could move it from being in the way. Now we can work on getting it better stocked.
As you can see, Hyrum and Payton are helping out as much as they can. They love having Uncle Ammon around. After he leaves, I guess we know who will finish it for us.

We loved all the pictures! It's so great to see all you boys together - and your basement is looking great. Hyrum and Payton look so industrious and so much older.
