Fire, fire, fire....

Last week we had a fire drill at work. We knew it was coming sometime soon, so we were willing to comply. Each alarm had different syncopation in it's sound, which was fine until we got in the stairway. You could hear all 6 floors at once, so it was one constant high pitched sound. Most people covered their ears and we stumbled into the traffic jam from the 5 floors below us. It was nice to have a break from work though.

Yesterday the alarm went off again. We decided to wait and let the lower floors move out before we bothered : ) Good thing it was a drill. After I got down 3 floors, it stopped. So I went back upstairs and started working. The lights were still blinking, but no alarm sound. A few minutes later, it started again, blaring everywhere. Someone decided we weren't going, b/c it was just dumb. We checked with building security and they said that everyone had to leave. So we climbed down the 6 flights of stairs and got outside. Soon we returned and since the previous week it took forever to wait for the elevator with so many people needing to go up after the drill, I decided the stairs would be good. I didn't think it was that big of deal, but today my legs are feeling it from having gone down 3 flights and back up, then down 6 flights and back up, totaling 18 flights of stairs.

Maybe this wasn't meant to be a fire drill, but a new fitness program.

It's a good thing you are getting SOME exercise. Some would think you have become LAZY since you don't go to the GYM anymore.

You can't say I don't go anymore when I've actually gone the last 2 days while you were sick in bed. Then I find out that you haven't worked out for about 3 weeks, you go, but sleep at the gym. Now that sounds LAZY : )
