I think I may have blogged about my frustration with voting, especially in the Republican Caucus earlier this year. I had to wait 2 1/2 hours in line. I definitely questioned if it was worth it. I always vote, as I feel it's not only a right, but also a duty. I'm also one that wants things to be convenient.
Well, Rheanna and I decided we were going to vote early so we wouldn't have to deal with long lines on November 4th. Then, on Friday we received a reminder in the mail from the County. On the flier it mentioned that you could sign up on a permanent mailing list. I looked into it and printed the form. It's the regular application for absentee ballot, but it allows you to select which elections you want, like general, municipal, or primaries. Then you can mark a box to always have the ballot mailed to you. So, although it's not quite as convenient as online voting (Aaron's dream) we never have to go to the polls again, it will come to us every time. We'll just have to create our own stickers that say "I voted."

Justin,
I failed to proofread and misspelled a word on the last post. Here it is with corrections.
I absentee voted while I was on my mission. It is really the way to go. You just can't beat the convenience. I am lucky enough to work from home right now, so I really don't have to worry too much about lines. I go at about 10 AM every time. It is nice to have the choice. I only wish that our choices in candidate were as meaningful as our choices in voting methods.
No kidding. This is a year when I wish we had 10 political parties, so that maybe someone would be worth voting for.
